The Saturday Morning Post - 04

I'm reposting this one. It comes originally from the old blog, which is no longer around.

So yeah, you may have seen this already.

I couldn't come up with the time or energy to create something new, so that's just the way it has to be.

Anyway, it's all about old school commercials.

Good morning everyone.

Today I’d like to take us back in time to view some of the commercials I used to watch every day when I was a kid.

First up, who can forget (unless you weren’t alive at the time) Where’s the Beef from 1984.

This next one is a song I sing to my own kids on occasion. This baby goes back to 1973.

The California Raisins got pretty big . . . we used to have some California Raisin guys that came with a Happy Meal . . . or maybe it was a Hardees kid’s meal. I don’t rightly recall. This one is from 1986.

My parents didn’t allow any of those sugary cereals in the house when I was a kid. So we had to choose something that was “healthy”. Life was my cereal of choice. This one goes all the way back to 1972.

Two of those commercials, Life and Oscar Mayer, came out before I was walking, but I remember seeing those commercials on TV. I guess that goes to prove that they used to get a lot of mileage out of a TV ad back then.
