One Good Reason You Need Shelter: Andrew Charipar

A couple of weeks ago, in this post here, I announced that my very first published work was, and still is, available to purchase.

It's a comic book anthology called Creative Compassion: Shelter (which you can purchase here), and is the creation of my good friend, and wonderful artist Harold Jennett.

The genesis of the book is actually very heart warming. Harold's daughter was distraught after seeing her first homeless person. She was in tears, asking her father what they could do. At the time, due to traffic, they could do nothing, but he promised her that he would do something to help the homeless. So he put together this book. A book that he could sell, and use the profits to donate to Food On Foot.

At some point Harold asks if I would like to contribute a story. I said yes and had a script to him by the end of the week.

The only question was, who would provide the art.

I was tickled when Harold let me know that Andrew Chairpar would be the artist on the story.

Andrew is a wonderful artist and I was honored to have him draw my little story. So I sent him a script.

When I got the final pages I did back flips. Well ... I tried to do back flips, but my body just isn't made for that.

Here are some highlights from the story. If you want to see more, you'll just have to buy the book. It's only $7.00 for 52 pages, so really, why not buy it.
