I Am The Walrus - A Norman Oklahoma Tale #9
I had this conversation with myself when I was "researching" this story.
See, for years, I thought they were saying "koo-koo-katchoo". So, when I started to write this story, I had something else in mind.
Norman wakes to find a walrus in his kitchen, Norman yells 'koo-koo-katchoo' as he throws the milk at him. Then they were going to fight. Norman wins. Blah-blah-blah.
It was going to be this whole thing.
Then I figured I'd better make sure I was spelling "koo-koo-katchoo" correctly, so I went online and did a Google search for the lyrics to I Am The Walrus.
The first site that popped up had "goo-goo g'joob". I just thought the guy who ran the site was an idiot, so I tried another. That site also had "goo-goo g'joob".
Well, I knew that that just couldn't be right, so I looked further.
Well, yeah .... it's "goo-goo g'joob".
But hey, that lead me to go in a different direction and I got this story, so it wasn't all bad.
