Priorities Script - Page Four

I'm really having fun going back and looking at these scripts and then looking at the finished page and seeing how they've changed.

This one didn't really change too much. I wrote it with five panels ... one in the top row, two in the middle row, and two in the bottom.

Harold just did four rows of one panel each ... and, of course, it works.

Heck, it works much better than what I envisioned, but whatever :)

So here you go, the script to page 4:

PAGE 4

ROW 1 – One wide panel

We see an old, 50’s style pick-up truck driving down an old dirt road.

NARRATION BOX: I get two fifteen minute breaks a day and one thirty minute lunch.

NARRATION BOX: Most guys would spend that time with a book, or a cigarette, or both.

ROW 2 – Two Panels

PANEL 1

A middle-aged couple are seen in the cab of the truck. JONATHAN is driving, MARTHA is the passenger.

JONATHAN: All I’m saying, Martha, is that if I want a soft shell taco, I should be allowed to get a soft shell taco.

MARTHA: Now Jonathan, you know those thing go right through you.

PANEL 2

We see the truck from a distance. In the foreground is the road. There is some rumbling sound effects and a large crack is opening in the road.

ROW 3 – Two Panels

PANEL 1

Inside the truck. Jonathan is looking at Martha. He looks angry. Martha is looking out the windshield, she’s screaming.

JONATHAN: I’m a grown man, Martha. I can make my own choices if –

MARTHA: JONATHAN! THE ROAD!

PANEL 2

Close up of Jonathan screaming, his knuckles white on the steering wheel.

JONATHAN: GREAT CAESAR’S GHOST!

Now that you've read the script, go read the page:
