LET ME CLEAR MY THROAT

I'm going to drop yet another new(ish) thing on y'all.

It's a new site and it's called Let Me Clear My Throat.

Let Me Clear My Throat is a collection of short stories of all types that I've written over time.

Whenever I finish a book, and I'm about to start another, I have to sometimes clear my head, get all the junk out. My mind can be easily distracted when it comes to story ideas, and while I'm trying to think on how to start the next Norman Oklahoma book, my brain sees the shiny light of some notion or another and sprints out after it like a dog with a squirrel.

So, every now and then I have to shake the stuff out, sorta like clearing one's throat.

I won't be posting on a schedule like with Endure, but, as the mood strikes me, and I need to clear a story out of my throat, then one will go up.

For example, I just posted the first part to a short called The Other Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

It's what one would call a Weird Western.

On Wednesday, October 26, 1881 in Tombstone, Arizona, famous lawman Wyatt Earp, his brothers Virgil and Morgan, and the infamous John Henry "Doc" Holliday, lined up in the vacant lot next to the O.K. Corral to face down a group of outlaws called the Cowboys.

Most people know the tale.

What's left out of the story however, are the two gunfighters, one just as famous (and infamous) as Wyatt and Doc, that faced off in a hotel room across the street at the very same time. A room with a view that looked down upon that vacant lot and the participants that became part of the most famous gunfight in the American West.

What happened between these two mysterious gunmen is told here, the outcome of which could change the face of American history for all time.

So give that a read with you get a chance, then check out the Story Archive for what else I have up there.
